No it still works that way, i think it is supposed too, because if AOTL is removed with enchantment removal it doesn't heal and you are suddenly at 50% health.

My MM hero usually use this.
[skill]Jagged Bones[/skill][skill]Animate Bone Minions[/skill][skill]Animate Shambling Horror[/skill][skill]Dark Bond[/skill][skill]Blood of the Master[/skill][skill]Infuse Condition[/skill][skill]Draw Conditions[/skill][skill]Restore Life[/skill]
I prefer Jagged bones over Flesh golem on a hero because they don't have trouble using it and I find it more useful to have minions being replaced when they die than having only 1 big ugly golem left. Not to mention that when the golem dies the AI will replace it with a normal minion 90% of the time.
Sometime I replace [skill]Dark bond[/skill] with [skill]Death Nova[/skill] because once again, it's another skill that the AI easily use. And with an army of minion, the MM rarely get any damage.
The only problem I had so far with hero running this build is sometime he'll use Draw Conditions without being enchanted with Infuse Condition.
Jagged bones and death nova are 2 skills i really hate when I am playing a MM though. Trying to select the minions is a pain.

Meh.
Flesh Golem is something I'm on the fence about.
Comparing [skill]animate flesh golem[/skill] with [skill]jagged bones[/skill] I could say that jagged bones is more useful because it will keep your army up. On the other side, I could say if you're a good Minion Master you should be able to keep it up anyway.
Thinking of [skill]animate flesh golem[/skill] itself, sure, the minion is powerful, and provides a nice bonus to front battery, but also leaves a corpse, which is convenient. On the flip side, I could say that if you're not already in supply of corpses you probably shouldn't be MMing there.
When it comes to [skill]order of undeath[/skill] well that's just an entirely different purpose.

Honestly Flesh Golem is not that useful. The damage from it is mediocre at best when compared to what you can get from OoU. The new nightfall minion, the name of which escapes me, with the bleeding has better damage output when you factor in bleeding degen and you can have multiples. The only point in FG is that it leaves an exploitable corpse so in corpse free or corpse light areas you can keep a minion up, let me focus on that though. You can keep A minion up which is pretty useless. Such areas are handled better by a curses necro.
At this point in the game with the advent of heros it is better to run hero MM's. They have better reaction time and can maintain an army reasonably well. You don't need a "pro" MM most of the time. Any old player or AI that can keep up enough minions to form a reasonable meat shield will do. I've heard a lot of people say "You just never saw a good MM" My point is MMing is a pretty brain dead play style to be honest. Raise minion Heal area when they are close BotM in combat. Maintain the numbers, refresh as necessary lather, rinse, repeat. You can literally set a macro to do most of that since you aren't directly targeting anything there is no need for you to actually have battlefield awareness unless your frontline breaks and you find yourself under fire. The only time you should ever conceivably target anything as an MM is if you are playing a bomber variant and AI does that much better than humans ever could since they seem to have an unholy situational awareness about the health of each minion under their control.
If you have to have an elite then AotL is probably the best one to go with although you can run an MM bar with no elite and be just as effective. If you want more challenge and more groups then run curses or blood where your targeting and situational awareness actually matters. Otherwise run an MM but be prepared to H/H a lot since most groups would prefer to let AI do the MMing.

You do realize necros can be used for other things than being a MM, right?
Also looking through this thread made me laugh.
